Flamingo Wings
After patiently waiting for this flock of Greater Flamingos to break up their huddle on the beach, they finally ventured out into the lagoon. They gracefully slid across the water with their long necks outstretched to the water to feed. At this moment, they raised their heads and spread their wings for a good stretch. The black edging of their wings is a striking contrast to their pink feathers. The bare white trees in the background resemble a winter scene. Punta Cormorant, Floreana Island, Galapagos, Ecuador.
